The Summer of '66 back East

While we lived in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, during the summer of 1966 just after my brother Merrill R. Hunt graduated from Granger High School, Merrill and I as Aaronic Priesthood holders worked several times with the missionaries there. One time we were part of an LDS baptism in the same river where Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery were baptized -- the Susquehanna River .

As one of our vacations while back East in 1966, we traveled to Westerm New York and visited The Sacred Grove where Joseph Smith had his First Vision. It was an experience I'll never forget. In he picture are Mom Lorraine, Trena, Troyleen and Rendall.

We also visited several other sites in Palmyra, N.Y..on that trip in 1966, but the line at this one was so long that we didn't wait because we wanted to get a good spot at the Hill Cumoruh Pageant.
