The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints announced today a new research data system: Early Mormon Missionaries.

  I had fun searching for ancestors who might be listed.

I found three listed:


My ancestor Samuel Walton Utley, the grandfather of my grandmother, Ethel Sophia Utley Hunt, had a brother, Little John Utley Jr., who served a mission in Alabama.

My ancestor Jane Gadd, who is the great-grandmother of my father, Warren M. Hunt, had a brother named Issac Chapman Gadd. He, along with Jane, and four other siblings, and his mother, Eliza Chapman Gadd survived the Martin Handcart Company ordeal. His twin brother, Daniel, along with his father, Samuel Gadd, died on the trail to Utah. Issac later served a mission to Britain, his homeland.
